In order to maximize profits, many entrepreneurs have taken on responsibilities that typically fell upon employees. Have you seen a company in which the hardworking owner/CEO spends 90% of their time selling or working alongside employees or "holding down the fort"? When you do that you're really not the CEO you're the "Job Holder in Charge".

The job holder in charge approach is a great way to boost short term profits, but also a great way to trap yourself into being the "Job Holder in Charge".

CEO's have a greater responsibility than just selling or doing the work. They need to set the strategic direction, pivot the business model and lead. You can't do that if you're working a job.

Owning a business is supposed to be fun. When you're just "doing the work," it's not. You have to lead your way out of this trap.
